Our Training program is chartered as per standard ASNT written Practice and certified by ASNT- Level- II personnel and is valid anywhere in the world. It is recognized that the effectiveness of nondestructive testing (NDT) applications depends upon the capabilities of the personnel who perform NDT. The ASNT Level II program provides third-party examinations for NDT personnel whose specific jobs require appropriate knowledge of the NDT method(s) for which certification is sought.

PCN

The PCN Scheme is an international program for the certification of competence of non-destructive testing personnel which satisfies the requirements of a number of European and international standard. There is a wide range of qualification examinations available within the Scheme, covering various NDT methods and techniques. Authorised Qualifying Bodies are independent organisations (see definition: "Authorised Qualifying Bodies") which have been audited against rigorous criteria prior to authorization, and which are subject to regular surveillance. Organisations anywhere in the world wishing to explore the possibility of being authorised to conduct PCN examinations are encouraged to discuss the potential for their involvement with BINDT Certification Services.

In order to become qualified following examination (minimum requirements to comply to BINDT e.g. 4 months practical experience for magnetic particle inspection) experience is required in each discipline you seek to attain, if no experience is held all you will receive is a results notice (this is not a qualification) This means you cannot sign off any reports until the practical experience has been gained, recorded and submitted to PCN for your certificate to be issued. Examination is of considerably higher difficulty because the knowledge of the subject must be greater and more in-depth questions may be asked. (Although everything will still be covered in the course).

In Karnataka, Training on Non-destructive material is solely provided by Petrocon and this training is in accordance with the standards of PCN certification (BINDT) .This certified program conducted by Petrocon with the certification from PCN, where PCN standard is used as yard stick for gauging quality of materials .This certification is valued in the countries where ISO-9712 standard is followed (European Union and Canada).

The various training programs provided by Petrocon are as follows:

  • Radiography Film Interpretation (RI)
  • Practical Radiography (RT)
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • For Practical Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

  • Liquid Penetrant
  • Testing (LT)
  • Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)
  • Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD)

With culmination of training program an Exam will be conducted by BINDT, in order to evaluate the credentials of the candidate and passing which the candidate will be provided with a certificate with respect to his concerned training program, with certification from BINDT Society.

These classes will be conducted as per Guideline of PCN / EN 473 / ISO 9712 Requirements.
